What we collect

Only what you type into the Find Your Place form, and only when you press Share my story on the final screen. Before that, your unfinished answers are kept as a draft in your browser, in this tab's temporary storage, so that reloading the page can bring them back. That draft is not sent to Source FL. It is cleared when you share your story or choose Return to Source FL. Browsers normally discard tab storage when the tab is closed, though some keep it while restoring a session.

That means: what you told us you have, know, or are looking for; where in Central Florida you are connected; a church, school, or workplace if you chose to name one; your first name and email; and your phone number, preferred contact method, and any free-text answers if you chose to give them.

What we never ask for

We do not ask about your health, housing, legal matters, immigration status, criminal history, disability, income, or family circumstances. We do not ask for a résumé, a case history, a government ID, a financial account, or a password. If you ever see Source FL asking for any of these, something is wrong.

Who sees it

A person at Source FL. Not an algorithm, not a partner organization, not an advertiser. What you share is read by a human being.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone outside Source FL. We do not publish anything you share without asking you first. We do not run advertising, analytics, or tracking on this site, and we do not use cookies beyond what the site needs to function.

Contacting you

Only if you asked us to. The permissions at the end of the form are separate, unchecked by default, and each one means only what it says. Choosing to share something is not the same as agreeing to hear from us.

Naming someone else

If you give us a contact person at an organization, please make sure they know. We will treat their details the same way we treat yours, and we will say where we got them if we reach out.

Changing your mind

Ask us to delete what you shared and we will, in full, without asking why. Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. Deleting your response removes it from our database permanently. It is not archived, hidden, or kept in a backup copy we can restore.

To ask a privacy question, correct what you shared, request its removal, or stop email updates, email simon@sourcefl.com.

Where it is kept

What you submit is stored in a database owned and controlled by Source FL, hosted in the United States. It is not shared with any other project, product, or organization.

Nothing on this website can read that database. The form can only add to it, through a single restricted path that checks your submission and nothing else. There is no public access to the stored information, and there is no way to browse, search, or retrieve responses from the site.

Responses are read by a person through a private administrative tool, not by anyone visiting this website.

What the website records automatically

Very little. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking, and we do not set cookies beyond what the site needs to function.

When you submit the form, we briefly record a scrambled, one-way version of your internet address so that the same connection cannot flood us with submissions. We do not store the address itself, it cannot be traced back to you, it is not linked to your answers, and it is deleted within a few hours.

Our hosting provider keeps ordinary technical logs, as all web hosts do. We do not use them to identify anyone.
